Job Description 

Our client, one of the largest Housing Associations in the UK, are seeking to appoint to the role of Head of Development.  The role will involve being responsible for managing the regional teams and ensuring that new business is identified and delivered in the South West.

With excellent communication, negotiation and team management skills, it will be the successful candidates responsibility to identify sites and development opportunities, maintain links with house builders and developers, and set team targets to ensure the organisations growth plans are achieved.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of housing development or related experience at a senior level
• Knowledge and understanding of strategic housing issues
• Proven track record of effective staff management and leadership
• Experience of social housing development
• Evidence of closing large scale development opportunities
• Excellent communication and networking skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• High level of numeracy
• Good financial modelling skills
• Experience of consortium working and strategic partnerships
• Degree level  education or relevant professional qualification
• Ability to attend meetings outside normal office hours
• Full driving licence
