Job Purpose | |
| To assist the Development Manager in the identification, management and delivery of projects, ensuring that delivery is cost effective, to the highest standards and that the Group's policies, procedures and objectives for development are fully achieved. |
| Monitor the performance of his/her projects against key targets, ensuring that they are fully achieved to a consistent standard across the activity. |
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities |
| To ensure that our client and Housing Corporation policies and procedures are complied with and that full scheme reports are put forward for formal approval in accordance with the Group's and scheme approval process |
| Prepare and submit appropriate and complete documentation to gain internal and external approvals for all aspects of the development initiation process, including appointment of consultants, land acquisition, and entering into building contracts and development agreements. |
| To ensure that the association's client role is fully executed in relation to contractors and consultants. |
| Assist the Development Manager with attendance at Local Authority Liaison Meetings |
| Ensure effective liaison with the Housing Corporation, Local Authorities, estate agents, vendors, solicitors, valuation offices, and other agencies as required |
| Liaise with Housing Management staff in advance of the handover of projects to ensure they are properly briefed on all relevant aspects of Development projects |
| Liaise with consultants and undertake regular site visits as required and appropriate . |
| To liaise with local authorities and other stakeholders to maintain good relationships and ensure they are informed of scheme progress and their support for new schemes is obtained. |
| Checking and processing invoices, orders and payments in accordance with our clients standing orders. |
| To produce regular reports on scheme progress for discussion with the Development Manager |
| Initiate and complete documentation for all claims for Social Housing Grant and process contract payments and fee invoices and monitor costs against the project budget. |
| Carry out such other duties as necessary to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our client. |
