Playing a central part in our vast regeneration agenda, you will direct the delivery of high quality transport policies and programmes. This will involve regularly deputising for the Head of Transport Planning, as you develop effective bidding strategies to maximise capital and revenues, attend high level meetings with Government departments and London-wide bodies, forge professional business partnerships and conduct negotiations with landowners and other stakeholders.

Naturally, you should be experienced in creating strategic transport policies, local traffic management plans or interim transport plans, and you will be extremely politically sensitive. At the same time, you should fully understand how high calibre traffic planning can support regeneration in dense and diverse urban areas – and be ready to take on substantial responsibility from day one.
