Do you have a good Planning degree or equivalent RTPI-accredited qualification? Are you experienced in planning processes and procedures?

Progressing a wide range of planning applications, you will provide professional advice and make clear and informed recommendations for decision-making. This will involve advising senior officers and elected members on underlying planning principles, and you will determine the effect of new legislation and guidance, whilst negotiating and structuring agreements with solicitors, architects, agents and other stakeholders. What’s more, you can expect considerable architectural challenges as the area is undergoing extensive redevelopment, making this a very exciting place to build your future.

To join us, you must be capable of undertaking extensive research, preparing detailed legal documentation and agreements, and attending a broad spectrum of meetings. Equally importantly, you will be comfortable managing a substantial workload, as we deal with at least 2000 planning applications a year. Finally, chances are you’re familiar with Section 106 agreements and equality and diversity issues, and you will certainly be capable of hitting the ground running and dealing with some complex planning issues.
