	Job Description:



	The post holder will be based in one of the three area based Development Control Teams and will register and validate planning applications and assess straightforward planning applications. The successful applicant will have or be working towards a degree/diploma in Town Planning which must be RTPI recognised. Candidates should be self-motivated, well organised and be able to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team. You must be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to meet deadlines. There is great emphasis on meeting best value performance targets and matching this with providing a quality development control service.
