37 hours per week plus on call duty which is worked on a rota basis

This is a residential post and the successful candidate will be required to live on site

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Scheme Manager to work with our Community Services team across West Somerset. You will be responsible for providing a range of duties to our Sheltered, Extra Care and Community Lifeline customers including managing a small staff group. We also offer support to the wider community.

We are looking for someone with a community spirit that is motivated, dedicated, flexible. You should have a caring disposition and carry out duties to the highest professional standard.

You will need to demonstrate:

• experience of working with elderly, disabled and vulnerable customer groups
• listening skills and an understanding of issues relating to the customer group
• excellent organisational skills
• an ability to think and plan creatively
• the ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team, as well as on own initiative
• responsive approach to people with complex support needs
• experience of multi-agency working
• a flexible approach to be on call and work some unsociable hours

Applicants should have a current, valid driving licence and use of a car.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
