| General Description:
Ocean Edge is working on behalf of a leading registered social landlord in east Surrey who is looking to cover a 9 month maternity leave as a Development Officer.
The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and will assist and support the Project Manager and Development Manager with the organisation and administration of projects forming part of social housing development programme from scheme feasibility to final account. Work on your own initiative and be directly responsible for a number of your own projects under the supervision of the Project Manager.
Must have RSL experience and able to drive.
Specific Duties:
New Development Opportunities:
1. Assist in identifying development and other business opportunities.
2. Undertake site appraisals, prepare consultant briefs, budget costing and valuations, and discuss proposals with architects, planners, residents, the Council's Housing Service and internal consulters.
3. Undertake for the Development Manager and Project Manager financial and risk appraisals of development opportunities using appraisal system.
4. Prepare submissions Project Approval Panel and Board for development opportunities.
Scheme Development:
1. Take development opportunities from feasibility stage through to final account including: -
2. Assist with the marketing of shared ownership and market sale properties
3. Assist in publicising a scheme
4. Assist in the preparation of and input bids, scheme and payment details onto the Housing Corporation's on-line IMS
5. Maintain records for scheme audit purposes, Construction Clients Charter, benchmarking and other record keeping purposes
6. Undertake tenant, stakeholder and internal satisfaction post-completion. | ||
