On behalf of the Dorset Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT), Dorset County Council is looking to recruit an Information and Research Officer. The successful applicant will be expected to support the work of the DAAT and wider partnerships in the collection and analysis of substance misuse data, and the monitoring of local and national performance agendas.

Working as a team player in a busy office environment, you will be of graduate calibre with experience in an information/analyst capacity. You should also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of substance misuse issues, and a working knowledge of research methodology and principles, data management and performance monitoring. Experience in the use of Excel (or similar) to an intermediate or advanced level is essential. Familiarity with the use of GIS would also be an advantage. A logical and flexible approach to work, along with excellent written and communication skills, are essential attributes for the successful candidate.
