Our client a Large London based RSL with strong ties with the local authority is looking to recruit a Head of Care Services to take charge of the operational performance of their care services for older people. The successful applicant will be responsible to lead and manage the national operational care services ensuring delivery a high quality, value for money service.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory framework of care services and domiciliary care services

• Implement and maintain effective performance management systems for all performance standards e.g health and safety, community care commissioning etc

• Prepare revenue and capital budgets and maintain effective budgetary control in accordance with financial regulations

• Brief the senior management team on major national policy, legislative and service developments relevant to care services ensuring the organisation is well informed and capable of responding to changes on professional and business environment

• Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement, openness, innovation and team work in staff

• As a member of the senior management team, contribute to the wider strategic and operational issues

• Promote a positive image of the organisation in the media

  Key Requirements of The Role

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commissioning and providing regulated care home and domiciliary care services

• Knowledge of business planning, Project and performance management

• Experience in Managing in a competitive business environment

• Understanding of the service requirements of older people

• Significant senior operational management experience within the health/social care sector and preferably within a commercial environment

• Significant financial management experience at a senior manager level

• Experience of working with government agencies and successful negotiation with a diverse range of external bodies

• Experience of Public relations, marketing and promotion

• Be skilled at building high profile teams who deliver excellent customer service

• Hold a full driving licence

• Educated to degree standard

Key Financial Information

The role will last for between 18 months to 2 years. The client is willing to accept applications from both interim consultants and PAYE applicants.
